Who we are - Barbara Lohrie

Born in Hamburg Germany, Barbara Lohrie studied business management, graduating from the university of Hamburg.

Barbara started her career as a marketing trainee at Colgate-Palmolive and soon became a product manager responsible for national and international brands.

In 1990 she moved to Montblanc Headquarters. In her function as Marketing Manager and later as Director Product Management and member of the board, Barbara was responsible for the worldwide range of Writing Instruments. The famous Meiststück Collection, Limited Editions, Special Editions and the introduction of new StarWalker collection not only attracted a new clientele for Montblanc´s core business it also rejuvenated the brand´s image throughout the world.

At Montblanc, she was also responsible for the diversification strategy that saw the successful introduction of Watches, Leather, Jewellery, Eyewear and Fragrances (license).

As a member of the Executive Committee, Barbara was also responsible for Montblanc Italia S.r.L. Moreover, as President Marketing & Sales she engineered the business turnaround at Montegrappa, the Italien writing instrument company that belongs to the Richemont group.

Barbara is happily married and in her free time relishes the Italian dolce vita way of life.

In 2008 Barbara decided to start Golden Egg.
